Something that is rather unique to working with a faith based NGO is that most of our conferences/workshops start with some kind of devotional. This morning we did something really cool.
Instead of the usual Bible reading and questions, our facilitator had a whole bunch of passages for us to look up and then write down the items and place them in the appropriate quadrant. Our four headings were "Things that God monitors", "Things that God does NOT monitor", "Things that we are to monitor" and "Things that we are NOT to monitor". Very fitting with our workshop theme.
The
general outcome was that we should monitor ourselves (hearts,
behaviour, faith, gifts, doctrine...) and NOT others. God does NOT
monitor past sins but he does pay attention to just about everything
else. This activity promoted great discussion and was fun to do.
